Saturday is Family Day at Bioneers!
The 2007 Great Lakes Bioneers Conference, at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, offers environmental and conscious Michiganders a celebratory and educational weekend on October 19-21. With a cornucopia of activities for the entire family, Saturday’s activities are especially geared to engage and enlighten the whole family. The day begins with keynote speaker Peter McCreedy, renowned experiential educator and director of Ecology Education at Chatfield School, at Milliken Auditorium. Activities abound over the course of the day including family friendly workshops, infant and toddler clothing swap, nature strolls and arts, crafts, music and dance. Amy Daniels-Moehle, 2007 NMEAC Volunteer Environmentalist of the Year and conference organizer shares, “We won’t participate in an event that doesn’t welcome our own kids as well.” Bioneers is a forum for connecting the environment, health, social justice, and spirit within a broad progressive framework.
