Appealing merchandise, hands-on displays and useful information on saving the planet are now available at Grand Haven Green (GHG) - The Eco-Friendly Store, located on the Chinook Pier in the old BC Pizza location. The store, a non-profit run by the City of Grand Haven, markets local items from the tri-cities area, promotes green living, and is also a great place to find attractive and useful merchandise or learn about the green movement.
The store revolves around simple ideas and actions that can support a more sustainable lifestyle. Reusable grocery bags, eco-friendly cleaning supplies and reduced-flow showerheads are available for sale. Displays on eco-friendly light bulbs, live roofs, and recycling offer educational encouragement for hands-on community involvement, as do take-home materials that promote active, year-round green living.
GHG is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and from 12 to 9 p.m. on Sundays through Labor Day. Chinook Pier is located at 301 North Harbor Drive in Grand Haven. For more information, call 616-502-6878.
