The Annual Michigan Organic Conference Adds Food-Film Festival

This year’s Michigan Organic Conference, a unique opportunity for consumers to connect with and learn from the people who grow, process and sell organic food in Michigan, will feature a special food-related film festival along with more than 20 educational sessions for organic consumers, gardeners and farmers. The conference will be held at the Kellogg Center located on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing and begins Friday, February 29 and runs through Saturday, March 1.

The film festival will be hosted by documentary filmmaker Chris Bedford. Bedford will conduct a discussion following the Friday night presentation of his film "The Organic Opportunity," which shows how one county in Iowa has made local, organic food a key element to its economic development strategy.

The cost is $80 at the door. For more information contact 248-262-6826 or visit www.Moffa.org.
