Document Actions
Each month NaturalWestMichigan.com features local and national news stories that are not included in our print version.

West Michigan Environmental Action Council is coordinating three separate "Step It Up!" events in Grand Rapids. The events correspond to the three municipal wards, reaching out to diverse communities. Aquinas College, Divine Grace Church and the Hispanic Center of West Michigan will host events on April 14. Times are yet to be confirmed. These events will include music, remarks from local policy makers, brief presentation from a participant in Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth training, exhibits, resources, kid's activities, a "Dirty Sock Contest", group photo to send to legislators - and a call for personal/institutional commitments, examples and impacts of which we'll be tracking and making available on our website. Other individual/group initiatives planned for that day will be supported and promoted through our communications sources.

For more information call 616.451.3051. The three locations are: Aquinas College Moose Cafe: Park in Donnelly Conference Center parking lot off Woodward between Fullton and Robinson Rd. SE. (signs will be posted) Divine Grace Ministry: 755 Fuller SE at Franklin . Hispanic Center of West Michigan : 1204 Grandville Ave. SW , /hispanic-center.org/
