Linda Faillace to Speak at Nourishing Ways West Michigan March Seminar
Nourishing Ways of West Michigan (NWWM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the community about nutrient-dense foods, is pleased to welcome author, sustainable farmer and small farm advocate Linda Faillace to West Michigan for NWWM’s March seminar. Faillace, author of Mad sheep: The USDA's War on a Family Farm, will address the issues relating to The National Animal Identification System (NAIS), and its potential to drive many small farms out of business, thus diminishing the availability of local, healthy foods. Faillace draws from her own experience of having her family farm unjustly invaded by the USDA.
The March 18 Seminar is free and held at St Marks Episcopal Church, 134 N. Division St. (corner of Division and Pearl), in downtown Grand Rapids from 7-8:30p.m.. For more information, call 616-532-6530. To learn more about the guiding principals of NWWM visit WestonAPrice.org.
