Blandford Nature Center Hosts Sugarbush Festival and annual Pancake Breakfast
Blandford Nature Center (BNC), a natural, 143-acre community resource within Grand Rapids, celebrates the end of winter with its annual Sugarbush Festival - the tapping of maple trees in the BNC forest to produce delicious, real maple syrup. During the entire month of March, the annual Festival invites the community to visit BNC and learn how real maple syrup is produced. Kids of all ages delight in watching the sap from Maple trees convert into maple syrup right before their eyes.
In addition to the ongoing community activities throughout the month, Blandford Nature Center & Mixed Greens and the Blandford Environmental Education Program are hosting the annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 15 from 8am-12p.m. at CA Frost - adjacent to Blandford Nature Center. This event also includes admittance to the Sugarbush Festival.
Tickets are $3 for adults and $1 for children. For more information call 616-735-6240. The festival runs every Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday 12-4 p.m. BNC is located at 1715 Hillburn Ave, NW in Grand Rapids. Tickets for the Pancake Breakfast are $8 for adults and $5 for children 3-18 years of age.
