Aveda donates a percentage of April sales to Alliance for the Great Lakes. As part of their annual effort to raise money for environmental causes, Aveda has chosen Alliance for the Great Lakes as their 2007 Earth Month beneficiary.
“Aveda is a great example of how companies can be socially responsible, environmentally friendly, viable organizations in which the bottom line is enhanced by these intrinsic values,” says Jonah Smith, Alliance sustainable business manager: “Aveda is an innovator far beyond its philanthropy, and the Alliance is thrilled to become part of that innovation.”
Throughout April, appointments and sales at many Aveda salons in the Great Lakes region will directly benefit the Great Lakes by generating a portion of their revenues for the Alliance. Individuals are encouraged to stock up in the month of April as sales of Aveda’s environmentally sustainable products are included. Aveda has raised more than $6 million for environmental causes since 1999.
