Women’s Literature Course Offered in Grand Haven
A unique wintertime opportunity to study women’s literature and explore one’s own depth through reading, writing, journaling and sharing with other women will begin on Monday January 7. The 12-week course will be offered on consecutive Monday evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at La Loba Ministries, in Grand Haven. Lydia Myer, MSW, MDiv., of La Loba Ministries, has worked with books, literature and the use of story in her private practice for decades. Meyer holds two master’s degrees, has kept a journal for a lifetime and is a writer, currently working on her first novel.
"We are exploring the work of great women authors and the themes pertaining to the lives of women," says Meyer "Through participating in this intensive study group, one’s own personal story becomes self evident. It’s a truly exciting journey." The reading list includes The Secret Life of Bees, by Sue Monk Kidd, Crossing to Avalon, by Jean Shinoda Bolen and A women’s Journey to God, by Dr. Joan Borysenko among other fine women’s works.
The entire 12-week course cost is $350. Books and materials are additional. For more information call 616-638-3452 or e-mail PreacherLady2000@yahoo.com. La Loba Ministries is located at 300 7 St, Ste 2, in Grand Haven.
